Hi jjr47 -- At the moment Bob fell we were all worried for him even though we saw it coming from the beginning.

LOL -- that is long after the fact but was 'not in the moment.'

LOL -- is not laughing at Bob but rather with him hence my comment 'shit happens.'

You are indeed taking my comments 'out of context' and not in the spirit I intended.

After the show I started a thread at the Furthur Forum titled: God Bless Bob.

That was the 1st thread on the subject and I invited others to join in and wish Bob well.

Then came the other 'hybrid' thread wish wished Bob well but invited criticism of Phil and John.

If you want to see what Bob bashing (and PHIL& JK bashing) by fans really is go there -- that's what real bashing looks like. I did not participate in the bashing there or here.

When shit happens, you laugh it off. Humor.

Take care.

Subject: unbroken chain
I agree with peteo, not buddy, wasn't there but I watch a video of the tune unbroken chain and bob throughout the song. You could tell something was wrong, then he fell over, my heart bled, even has he tried to shoulder on playing his guitar.

I'm an old deadhead from the '60s and to watch the tumble hurt. How anyone can LOL over it for whatever stupid reason and say they love the dead or any of its members is way beyond me.

but I guess we all have our way of looking at something.

For whatever reason, I've always felt a kinship with bobby - he's only 3 weeks my senior and we were both born in San Francisco, and although I was around in those days our paths never crossed beyond seeing the gang in concert with the Jefferson Airplane, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Big Brother & the Holding Company, Santana, and the rest of the bands back then, and even though my taste for their music changed when they traveled into Shakedown Street and shit like that, they always remained in my heart because of the vibes that were created back in those days.

Anyway, this is not being written for buddy to respond to. Don't really care if he does or not, or anyone else on his behalf who thought it was some LOL moment and I may be taking out of context from what any of them may mean and who am I say they don't love the dead and all that other blah blah blah shit.

Don't really know what bobby's problem may or may not be, but visions of jerry popped through my head, and I hope it's not anything going down that path.

Peace & Love

Just another thanks out to ZMan for another great recording...really appreciate all the shows that you put up for us. Spoke to you before the show by the soundboard...little did we know what was coming. Interesting to listen after. Glad to see that Bobby is getting what he needs...scary and sad to watch. A great Stella for Diane.

Shit does, indeed, happen. I got a kick out of the crowd reaction when Phil said it was a shoulder injury during a work out that did Bobby in. Bobby came back real strong the next night, so all in the past.
